Get A Septic System With Up To 7 YEARS of Protection!
Every septic system we install comes with a FREE 2-Year Limited Warranty — at no additional cost. You can also add our optional 5-Year Extended Warranty, which adds five more years on top of the standard coverage for a total of seven (7) years from the date of installation.
Both warranties cover the same thing: defects in materials and workmanship on the system we installed, under normal residential use.
What's Covered
- The integrity of the septic tank, drain field, and connecting components we installed
- Proper functioning of the system in compliance with local health and safety regulations
- Repairs or replacements required due to installation errors or defective materials supplied by Ryerson Brothers Excavating
If a covered defect or malfunction occurs, we repair or replace it at no cost to you. To request warranty service, call 231-888-4020.
What's Not Covered
This is a limited warranty on our installation work and the materials we supply. It does not cover:
- Improper use — grease, oils, chemicals, wipes, sanitary products, or other non-biodegradable or hazardous materials put into the system, or overloading it beyond its designed capacity
- Lack of maintenance — including failure to pump the tank or clean filters as recommended
- Unauthorized modifications or repairs — work done by anyone other than Ryerson Brothers Excavating or an approved service provider
- Acts of nature and external forces — floods, storms, landslides, tree roots, soil shifts, and similar environmental factors
- Physical damage — heavy vehicles or equipment driven over the system, or nearby construction, landscaping, or excavation
- Electrical or mechanical failures — pumps, alarms, or other components not supplied or installed by us
- Regulatory changes — fines, penalties, or modifications required by rule changes after installation
- Normal wear and tear, and third-party damage from contractors, utility companies, or neighbors
- Site conditions outside our control — high water tables, poor drainage, and similar conditions
- Non-residential use — commercial or industrial applications
- Pre-existing conditions — existing plumbing, pipes, or infrastructure affected by the new installation, including older or deteriorated lines that shift, settle, or come under increased pressure. Repairs to components we did not install or supply are the property owner's responsibility.
Your Responsibilities
- Use the system according to the operating and maintenance instructions we provide
- Schedule and perform routine maintenance as recommended
- Notify us of any issues as soon as they arise
This warranty is limited to repair or replacement of defective components or systems; Ryerson Brothers Excavating is not liable for incidental or consequential damages.
